Feedback from teachers has been overwhelmingly positive for the Education Council’s “easy and convenient” online service to renew full practising certificates (EC30).
To date, we’ve had over 1200 teachers apply online for their full practicing certificate (EC30) and the average processing time is four days, compared with processing a paper application which takes 22 working days on average.
The Council has adopted the Ministry of Education’s Education Sector Logon (ESL) as the authentication tool. Teachers must use the ESL logon to open and submit an application online while principals can open an application, assert identity and endorse an application submitted by a teacher in their school.
Every teacher who has an ESL and needs to renew their full practising certificate can use the EC30 online application. We expect principals to use the endorsement and ID verification online for teachers in their school.
If you work in a school and do not currently have an ESL logon, please see your EPA Authoriser, usually an Administrator in the school, who will have the ability to request a login for you or alter your login if you don't have sufficient rights to access the online EC30.
We will keep you updated with progress with our online services.
