Will my information be kept on Hapori Matatū and is it secure?

Your profile information is kept on Hapori Matatū, and we use the Education Sector Logon (ESL) to ensure your details are secure.

We have built Hapori Matatū to ensure that your profile and all other held information is fully secure.

Hapori Matatū uses Hypertext transfer protocol secure (HTTPS) which is a secure way to send data between a web server and a web browser. It encrypts a user's data when it is transmitted across the internet. It ensures a user's privacy and integrity of data is maintained. HTTPS is the secure version of HTTP.

Will practising certificate plastic cards still be issued when using Hapori Matatū?

We no longer provide plastic cards as we have moved to an online digital format, so all teachers can now view, download or print their current or newly approved practising certificate. This can be accessed from any device under ‘My Details’ in your profile. This is available in A4 certificate or wallet sized formats.

If the Teaching Council no longer provides plastic cards, how can I prove that I have a current valid practising certificate?
